AdBlue In Your Diesel

Diesel and water tend not to mix in the least and trying to run a diesel car on water will never work. In addition, the urea is very corrosive to fuel system lines and seals and is more prone to crystalising, damaging injectors and fuel filters.

Assuming you have put AdBlue in a fuel tank drain it at once. And certainly never start the vehicle - not even to move it to a parking spot. If perhaps you did start the car you may in all probability have to have the whole fuel system purged and filters replaced.

Water contaminated fuel

Fuel contaminated with water, irrespective of whether it is petrol or diesel, is in many cases an important situation to address in a motor vehicle - specifically in present-day common-rail engines. Water in the fuel tank can cause idling problems, lumpy running, excessive smoke and, if it is not taken care of correctly, oftentimes broken injectors. Having water in petrol is less complicated to clean out as compared with water in diesel - largely because diesel is an oil. Even so we are able to take care of both situations very expediently.

Be aware that so long as the vehicle was started on the water contamination it will likely need a new fuel filter to be installed simply because the old one will likely be thoroughly wet and useless.
